Gujarat Mukhymantri Amrutum Yojana 2024
The government of Gujarat has launched Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana in order to provide cashless treatment for tertiary care to citizens who are below the poverty line. Through this scheme, beneficiaries can avail of cashless Medical and surgical treatment for catastrophic illnesses. Under this scheme, nearly 1763 processes along with their follow-up are covered. Beneficiaries can avail of cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh per annum per family. The government will also pay Rs 300 to the beneficiary as transport charges for every instance of availing treatment from the empanelled hospital.
The beneficiaries will also be provided with a card which will be helpful in availing cashless treatment. Based on the success of the scheme and feedback received from various stakeholders the government of Gujarat has extended Mukhymantri Amrutum Yojana which includes all families having an annual income up to Rs 400000 per annum and named this scheme Mukhyamantri Amrutam Vatsalya Yojana.

On October 17, 2022, at 4 p.m., PM Narendra Modi will start giving out PMJAY-MA Yojana Ayushman cards in the state of Gujarat. In 2012, the government started the Mukhyamantri Amrutam (MA) scheme to protect poor people from the huge costs of illness and medical care. It was changed even more in 2014, and then it was called Mukhyamantri Amrutam Vatsalya (MAV) Yojana.
Based on how well the MAV programme worked, in 2018 the PM started the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana(AB-PMJAY). This is the biggest insurance coverage plan in the world. It covers up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year for hospitalization for primary to tertiary care. With the start of AB-PMJAY, Gujarat combined the MA/MAV Yojana and the AB-PM-JAY scheme into a new programme called PMJAY-MA Yojana. Objective Of Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana
The main objective of Mukhymantri Amrutam Yojana is to provide cashless treatment to the citizens of Gujarat. Now citizens are not required to worry about medical expenses as the government of Gujarat is going to cover all the medical expenses through the scheme. Features Of Gujarat Mukhymantri Amrutum Yojana
- Beneficiaries can take treatment from all the empanelled hospital under the scheme
- The list of the empanelled hospitals will be provided at the time of issuance of the card
- Information related to the hospital can be obtained by calling a toll-free helpline number 1800 233 1022
- At the time of treatment beneficiaries are not bound to pay any amount at the empanelled hospital
- It is the responsibility of the hospitals to arrange for all the medicine and test needed for the treatment
- If the beneficiary is using their own mode of transport then also the beneficiary will be paid transport assistance
- In hospitals, there will be a help desk with Arogya Mitra for a scheme to guide the beneficiary
- In order to avail of the benefit of the scheme, beneficiaries is only required to take the card when they go to the hospital
- Consultation and medicine both are covered under this scheme
- If the beneficiary loses the card then he or she can go to the taluk kiosk can get a new card
- There is no age limit under the scheme for children to be covered
- There is also no limit for the beneficiaries
- The head of the family and spouse is required to be enrolled and then the dependent can be added
