TS bPASS – Apply For Building Permission in Telangana, Status Check

TS bPASS – To provide instant approval for residential developments in the state, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) discontinued its Development Permission Management System (DPMS) in February 2024and replaced it with the Telangana State Building Permission Approval and Self-Certification System, or TS bPASS. tsbpass.telangana.gov.in is the official website for this. Read below to get detailed information related to the Telangana Building Permission PASS like highlights, benefits and features, documents required, the application process, steps to track the application status, login process, and much more

TS bPASS 2024

The TS bPASS was initially used to grant approvals on a self-certification model for residential constructions constructed on plot sizes up to 600 square yards in areas governed by the GHMC. Larger residential developments were subsequently brought under the TS bPASS’s jurisdiction. All residential structures, regardless of size, will be included in the scope of TS-bPASS once the system is completely established. With its streamlined online method for hassle-free, time-bound, rapid approvals, Telangana Building Permission PASS is a groundbreaking and revolutionary change in getting building rights. This will provide clarity to the process of granting building permits and help to lessen human intervention.

For all departments, a single form is required to get no-objection certifications or NOCs. The TS-bPASS grants permissions in three categories: instant registration, instant approval, and a single window. It is a single-window approval system for construction approvals.

Objectives of Telangana Building Permission PASS

The Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self-Certification System (TS-iPass), which was unveiled in July 2015 as a virtual platform for awarding online industrial building licenses based on a self-certification paradigm, served as the inspiration for the creation of the TS bPASS. There are currently plans in place to completely implement TS bPASS in the regions that fall under GHMC authority. In the future, regardless of size, all residential and non-residential structures will be required to use the TS bPASS approval system.

Benefits and Features of TS bPASS

Some of the key benefits and features are as follows:

  • Through a single window, TS-bPASS would make it easier to obtain approvals from numerous departments, including the fire department, electrical board, traffic department, and planning department. By doing this, it would be unnecessary to request individual approvals from each department.
  • Departments will be penalized for holding up clearance.
  • The acceptance of self-certification for structures built up to ground plus one story (G+1) on land with less than 675 square feet is another requirement.
  • To oversee the approval process, a strong, secure, and forward-thinking regulatory framework would be established.
  • To speed up the approval procedure, a standard application form would be made available for all clearances.
  • The facility would initially be used for residential premises, and when it proved successful, it would eventually be expanded to the built environment for commercial and retail uses.
  • The TS-bPASS would quicken clearances, which would make room for corruption impossible.

To prevent late service delivery, departments that postpone authorization are also penalized. TS-bPASS issues an automatic certificate bearing the signatures of the relevant authorities after the application has been granted. This certificate may be used to borrow money intended for building projects or to carry out construction-related tasks. It should be also noted that building approvals issued through the TS-bPASS system may be canceled by the commissioner within 21 days of the approval date if it can be demonstrated that the permission violated any rules or was the result of a factual error.
