Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha Scheme – The Odisha Cabinet approved the ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’ scheme with a budget of Rs. 4,000 crore. The plan was one of nine proposals that received approval from the cabinet. By adding a new dimension in the shape of “Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha” under the State Plan, the State government has amended the guidelines of the earlier intervention “Ama Gaon Ama Bikash” to make it effective as of the Financial Year 2023–24.

On October 10, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik formally started allocating cash for panchayat development in the State, three months after the Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha scheme, which has been branded a pre-election sop, was approved by the Odisha Cabinet. 297 gram panchayats in the Keonjhar district’s six Assembly constituencies would receive 148.50 crore from the state government, and 218 gram panchayats in the Bhadrak district will receive 109 crore. 6,794 gram panchayats will be funded by 3,397 crore in total by Odisha. The scheme calls for the development of new facilities for Mission ShaktiGroups at the GP level, closing crucial gaps there to improve rural areas through the provision of urban facilities, the creation of youth sports facilities, the provision of banking services, and the enhancement of digital access in terms of mobile connectivity, optical fibre connectivity, WiFi, and internet connectivity.
