11th Oct Update – CM Naveen Patnaik transferred assistance amount to gram panchayats
On October 10, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik formally started allocating cash for panchayat development in the State, three months after the Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha scheme, which has been branded a pre-election sop, was approved by the Odisha Cabinet. 297 gram panchayats in the Keonjhar district’s six Assembly constituencies would receive 148.50 crore from the state government, and 218 gram panchayats in the Bhadrak district will receive 109 crore. 6,794 gram panchayats will be funded by 3,397 crore in total by Odisha. The grant will be used for up to 90,723 projects. A 50 lakh rupee allowance is due to each panchayat. Between 2.5 lakh and 10 lakh rupees are spent on the project. T
