What is Brand Bengaluru Portal

Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has requested residents of Karnataka and also those who live in abroad to provide feedback and suggestions via the website i.e., https://brandbengaluru.karnataka.gov.in/. The authorities will then discuss about it, think about it, and put the notion into practice based on its viability. DK Shivakumar said we are unable to reject recommendations from those who submit them after the designated deadline. However, when there is a deadline, we can also consider it and make a choice. Some people have already made suggestions, and we’ll look at how best to execute them given our financial limitations.

Bengaluru Population

The population of Bengaluru was 8,443,675 as of the 2011 Census. Since that time, there hasn’t been a decennial census to provide a more recent estimate of the population. The population of the city may have topped one crore, according to rumors. Surprisingly, DK Shivakumar claimed that the city’s population is a stunning 1.6 crore, despite the fact that 1.3 crore people are registered to vote. It is important to note that an astounding 50 lakh people move to Bengaluru every day. This ongoing influx of people strengthens Bengaluru’s position as the state of Karnataka’s top revenue-producing city.

We have developed a scheme for the development of Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to deliver high quality education in order to lessen the pressure on Bengaluru. Several problems hurting the city had been suggested by the top brass of Bengaluru. We are currently looking for suggestions from the public and the media. Up to the end of this month, they may provide the government proposals. According to the minister, in order to reduce traffic congestion, officers and experts preferred building tunnel roads, a high-density corridor, extending Namma Metro connectivity, road widening projects, raised roads, converting NICE Road into a ring road, and elevated road projects.

They emphasised the necessity of monorail or suburban rail as well. Additionally, experts offered a number of recommendations to enhance the city’s sanitation, water supply, garbage disposal, effective management, and fight corruption. Water rates might increase because they were last changed in 2014. Among the expenses that the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) must cover are high power costs,
