At Shivamogga’s Freedom Park on Friday, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced the Congress Yuva Nidhi scheme’s fifth and final poll promise. For graduates and diploma holders who earned their degrees in the academic year 2022–2023, the programme provides unemployment support. The government has committed to providing degree holders with Rs 3,000 per month and diploma holders who failed to secure employment within the previous six months and chose not to pursue further education with Rs 1,500 per month.
Additionally, Siddaramaiah gave checks to unemployed graduates from all around the state. On Tuesday 26 Dec 2023, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah opened registration for the Yuva Nidhi programme, which provides unemployed graduates and certificate holders with monthly financial aid.With this, the Congress has moved closer to delivering on the five promises it made to the electorate before the general elections. The government will make an effort to give young people jobs in addition to financial aid. Given that unemployment is currently the largest issue facing the nation, the government is assisting young people. The government will shortly fill all open positions.
Under Yuva Nidhi, individuals with a 2023 degree who did not find employment for six months will receive Rs 3,000 per month for two years, while holders of a diploma will receive Rs 1,500 per month. Within two years, aid will end if any beneficiary starts working or launches their own company. In 2022–2023 there were about 4.8 lakh graduates and 48,100 diploma holders. The Sevasindhu portal, Grama One, Karnataka One, Bengaluru One, and Bapuji Seva Kendras are among the locations where qualified applicants can register.
