Naveen Patnaik, the chief minister of Odisha, today 11th oct 2023, introduced the Mission Shakti Scooter Yojana to the state’s SHG members. The program will enable qualified women to purchase the scooters of their choice with complete interest subvention on bank loans up to Rs 1 lakh. Compared to the 100 women who received scooter keys, at least 15,000 women will receive scooters as part of the Mission Shakti Scooter Yojana. The State Government is giving a substantial Rs 528 crore in interest subvention. This program will help more than 2 lakh Mission Shakti moms and community workers, and more than 15,000 have already received scooters.

Mission Shakti is anticipated to expand the accessibility of this programme and increase the number of Community Support Staff and EC members throughout the State with a specific financial allotment of Rs 528.55 crore for the following five years.
