The Government of Tripura has launched Mukhyamantri Yuba Yogayog Yojana. Through this scheme, the government is going to provide financial assistance of Rs 5000 per beneficiary in order to purchase smartphones. Only those students who pursued the final year of the undergraduate degree in the academic year 2020-21 will be eligible to get the benefit of the scheme. The student must have pursued an undergraduate degree from any Government College/ Institute/ University in Tripura. The smartphone should be purchased on or after 1st April 2021. Students are also required to submit physical copies of invoices at their respective institutes. The institutes are required to submit the physical copies to the directorate of Information technology after final verification. Both students who belong to APL or BPL category can get the benefit of this scheme.

The main objective of Mukhyamantri Yuba Yogayog Yojana is to provide smartphones to students who are in the final year of their post-graduation course. The Government of Tripura is going to provide Rs 5000 in order to purchase a smartphone. Through this smartphone, students can be able to get an education through digital mode. This scheme is also going to improve the standard of living of the citizens of Tripura. Now all those students who are not able to get properly educated due to lack of digital mode will get an education which will further help them in getting better employment opportunities

- The Government of Tripura has launched mukhyamantri Yuba yogayog Yojana.

- Final year failed students of the previous academic year (2019-20) will not receive benefits, however those who have passed previous year and regular students of final year during the academic year 2020-21 will get the benefit irrespective of failing in final year.
- Students can also purchase the smartphone from an online platform.

- Applicant must be permanent resident of Tripura
- The applicant must have pursued final year of the undergraduate degree in the academic year 2020-21
- The student must have pursued undergraduate course from any Government College/ Institute/ University in Tripura
- Smartphone must be purchased on or after 1st April 2021
- Student belonging to APL or BPL category will be eligible to get benefit of this scheme
- Students who are enrolled for courses in distance mode will not be eligible to get the benefit of this scheme
