The scheme has been launched by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The main objective to implement this is to provide a free credit loan to all of the self-help groups of the Andhra Pradesh state. 11th August Update – CM deposited Rs. 1,353.76 crores in Beneficiaries Account.
At an event in Janupalli village of Amalapuram mandal in the B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district on Friday, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy deposited Rs. 1,353.76 crore as interest reimbursement under the YSR Sunna Vaddi scheme. From 9.48 lakh self-help organizations, 1.05 crore women would gain from this. According to the Chief Minister, the YSR Sunna Vaddi program has been in place since the beginning of 2019. Beneficiary women’s bank accounts have received direct deposits of Rs. 4,969 crore so far.

Benefits Of YSR Sunna Vaddi
One of the main benefits that will be provided through the implementation of the scheme is the availability of empowerment of the elderly women of Andhra Pradesh state. The implementation of the scheme will make sure that an elderly woman who is engaged in SHG is waived from all the credits of the loans that she will be taking from any of the private or government banks in Andhra Pradesh state. This will help all of them to be financially independent and to be free from the burden of giving credit to the bank on their loans.

- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh state.
- The applicant must be a female
- An Applicant must belong to below the poverty line category
- The applicant must have a credit amount of less than rupees 500000.
- The applicant must belong to the self-help group of Andhra Pradesh state.
- A loan that falls under the Non-Performing Asset of NPA is not eligible for the scheme.

A shortlist has been prepared by the concerned authorities of the YSR Navasakam scheme and through it, the beneficiaries of the YSR Sunna Vaddi Scheme will also be decided.
